Techtalk #1: Explanation of android rooting by Binit Ghimire

Hello friends, welcome to this first techtalk.This techtalk covers all about rooting android phone, its advantages and disadvantages.
I had a short conversation with Mr.Binit Ghimire, founder of Binit Games and admin at Tech Sanjal .He is tech enthusiast with knowledge in programming field as well as computing and internet.I asked him some questions about android rooting and he gave very understandable and deep answers to me. So here is the techtalk with him consisting questions and answers.
1) Actually what is meant by rooting?
Ans:He told that rooting is a process of gaining deep access to the administration of the device.It helps user to get full access to android system. It allows to perform several takes related to the control mechanism of the device. In android, it's known as 'rooting' whereas in iOS, it's known as 'Jailbreak'. They are similar in some cases.
2)Is rooting important for android phone?
Ans:He told that its not important to root android phone by normal users. But it is very important to root android phone by developers.
3)What are the benefits of rooting?
Ans: According to him the main benefits of rooting android phone are-

  • The main benefit is that one can get access to the administration of the device (i.e. administrator access).
  • One can do several things such as change the values in different running apps and processes.
  • Rooting allows to get extra details about the device in case if one is a developer or a geek.
  • Root gives complete access to the mobile or root directory of the android phone where one can modify the system database.
  • One can remove bloatwares and block ads after rooting.

4)Flashing custom ROM is possible after rooting.Elaborate.
Ans:Flashing your device, installing custom ROM can be done without rooting too.Installing custom ROM means changing the firmware."Flashing" and "installing custom ROMs" aren't same things. They are different.Installing custom ROMs means changing the device's default firmware. Either creating your own firmware or downloading firmwares developed by others for your device.They are similar but not same.It's not compulsory that you need root access for that.But, for some devices, it's necessary.
5)Is hacking possible after rooting android phone?
Ans:He told that hacking anything isn't possible just by rooting. You can hack many things without rooting and even more things after rooting. You can change the inner values of the running apps and processes. You can also give administrative access to other apps to do system-related tasks in your device. For example, with GameGuardian, you can change the points you have scored or the AI in the device have scored. You can do many other things related to hacking by rooting your android device.You can hack wifi, get free in app purchases, remove app permissions e.t.c.
6)What are the disadvantages of rooting?
Ans:As he told the main disadvantage is that rooting voids warranty given by manufacturer or from the place the phone is bought.It can damage your device if you do something wrong like deleting system apps, changing the app values, etc.Rooting favours hackers.Rooting allows hackers to insert malwares in your device.There is a high risk of virus after rooting android phone.You may get long delay in software updates.
7) According to Binit, Rooting should be done or not?
Ans:In his view, rooting shouldn't be done because if you do something wrong, your device may get damaged.Rooting is important but not always necessary.He told that if you want to root your phone first of all get all the knowledge about rooting and get involved in it.
8)How to root without PC ?
Ans:There are many apps that support almost all android device for rooting.Kingroot and Kingo root are the most popular among all.But these apps may take long process ro complete rooting.Download any one of these apps ro root android phone.

9)What did he tell about my blog?
Ans:He told my blog is doing good. It's a good statistics for a new blog. But, I need to make my blog posts and blog SEO-friendly so that the search engines can index the site.
